Meet Jeneric

Delivering Innovative Environmental Management and Geophysical Services

Founded in 2017, Jeneric began after Eric returned from an overseas mission with the Canadian Armed Forces. Upon his return, Ledcor Highways reached out, asking Eric to consult on their highway maintenance yards' environmental management program. However, in order to fulfill the request, Eric needed to incorporate, and Jeneric was born. This initial project, along with work from other industry contacts, helped the company gain momentum in its early years.

Eric is a near-surface geophysicist and environmental geoscientist with experience ranging from geology, hydrogeology, surface water management, environmental management and surface mapping. His other career is as a senior army Reserve officer, currently instructing with the Canadian Army Command and Staff College.

Jennifer, a seasoned geomatics specialist,  played a key role in the company’s growth. While recovering from cancer, a client approached her to provide drafting services remotely. This opportunity became the foundation for Jeneric’s geomatics services, allowing her to expand her offerings to other consulting firms. Many of Jeneric’s clients are former coworkers who trust in the quality and reliability of the services they receive. Jen's other passion is creating quilts. From baby to king size, she loves to make bespoke quilts. Ask her about JenDen Quilts.

Jeneric’s responsive, pragmatic approach ensures that our clients receive the highest level of service and integrity in every project we undertake. We believe in providing solutions that are both effective and sensible, knowing that sometimes, 'good' is good enough to meet your business priorities.

Jeneric is permitted to practice Geoscience with the both the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and Saskatchewan (APEGS). We are are members of the Canadian Land Reclamation Association (CLRA), the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA), and the Alberta Roadbuilders & Heavy Construction Association (ARCHA).

Clyde’s responsibilities include retrieving tennis balls and taking Eric for his daily ATV ride as he runs ahead to show the way. Hobbies include belly rubs, fetch and herding the lawnmower and snowblower. His generally quiet demeanor makes for an excellent co-worker.

Maya

Cheese Tax Collector

Maya is passionate about food, howling at imaginary noises and trying to get Cylde to wrestle. She is definitely the goofiest staff member, which makes the work place a fun place to be. No cheese can leave the refrigerator with the appropriate tax being paid. Her special talent is taking up an entire king size bed while being immovable…until she imagines a noise.
