Geoscience & Geophysics
Our geoscience and geophysics services include groundwater monitoring well installation, development and monitoring, soil sampling, surface water monitoring, turbidity monitoring, wetland delineation and assessment, wildlife and bird sweeps, environmental regulatory support (DRAS), and shallow geological mapping. Jeneric is capable of conducting Phase 1 and limited Phase 2 environmental site assessments (ESA) as well as some spill response.
With over 25 years of near surface geophysical experience, Jeneric can plan and execute a wide range of surveys from electromagnetic (EM), electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), magnetometer, ground penetrating radar (GPR) and borehole logging.

Our Geoscience services focus on understanding and monitoring natural resources, such as groundwater, soils, and wetlands. Then by presenting data with industry standard GIS and drafting software, we deliver comprehensive environmental assessments that support sustainable resource management and informed decision-making.
Geoscience

Geophysics is simply measuring some earth property and understanding how that property changes due to lithology, moisture content or contamination.
Properties include electrical conductivity/resistivity, speed of a wave (sound or radio), magnetic and electrical fields and gravity.
Most techniques are non-invasive and provide consultants with a good understanding of their project prior to invasive drilling and sampling programs.
Near Surface Geophysics

Regular check ups are recommended for not only people but your sites as well. Continual monitoring may be an approval requirement already, but consider the potential costs of cleaning up a site at the end of its operations life and not being aware of any longstanding issues.
Regular monitoring creates a culture of good environnemental responsibility and stewardship. The outcome is that the property value is retained.
